Dried BSF larvae can substitute up to 50% of fish meal or soybean meal usage in animal feed. It can also be directly fed to farmed aquatic species at a dosage of 10% of their body mass. 
It can be given as a supplement or processed as a raw material, mixed with other ingredients to produce a complete feed with balanced nutrition.
